The Indianapolis Art Center is hosting a day of FREE art-making workshops for veterans and active service members on Saturday, November 18. Morning and afternoon workshops will be available in glassblowing, ceramics, sculpture, and more!

So what is Veterans Art Day?
This event is designed to honor and connect veterans through the fun and healing that comes from art making. Our Veterans Art Day activities are intended to bring participants together to engage creatively, learn new skills, and meet new people. Art has the power to heal and the power to build community, which is exactly what this day is all about! On this day, we welcome present and past members of the Armed Forces to honor and show our gratitude for their immeasurable sacrifices and bravery.
ArtTroop
On this day, we will also celebrate our 2023 ArtTroop cohort. ArtTroop is a free 10-month program that provides bi-weekly art classes for veterans and active service members each year. Veterans Art Day attendees will have a chance to view the 2023 ArtTroop Exhibition, learn about the program, and apply to join the 2024 cohort.
