Join us for a fun and hands-on wheel throwing experience! Unlike our other family classes where participants collaborate on a single project, in this class, each person will create their own unique pottery piece. Try different techniques in a supportive environment and be prepared to get messy!Students will pick from one of our 4 glaze options to be glazed and fired by our technician after the class. This inclusive camp welcomes children (ages 8+), teens, and young adults to participate alongside a parent or caregiver while discovering how nature sparks creativity. Inspired by the colors, shapes, and textures found outdoors, participants will paint, sculpt, and draw using a variety of materials. Families will work side by side on guided projects that encourage observation, collaboration, and creative expression. It is never too early or too late to experience sensory play and working with clay is a perfect way to do just that! In one of our ceramics studios, families will work together, using basic handbuilding techniques, to express themselves with clay.
