Join us in welcoming Sam Dienst to the Indy Art Center! Sam is a tapestry weaver and sculptor currently living and working in Detroit. She graduated in 2016 with a BFA in Fibers from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and an MFA in Fibers at Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2021.

Come hear Sam talk about her work and process that’s bursting with color and creativity! Forget the dusty old tapestries of yesteryear – this is your chance to dive into a vibrant, modern take on this age-old art form.

No matter your skill level, everyone is welcome to join this colorful adventure. Let’s weave some magic together! All levels of students are welcome.

IAC will provide warp yarn and a variety of weft possibilities.

Students should bring their own scissors, and supplemental yarns to fit their interests
